Day Trip: Firenze

We made our second journey to Firenze today. It gave us a chace to figure out the trains, stretch our legs, and buy some essentials. Ben and I climbed the Duomo while the girls laid down like bums on its marble steps. The inside surface of the dome is magnificent, but being on top was today's highlight. From the top of the dome, one can see all of Firenze. And we couldn't have possibly had a better day for such a view: there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

On another note, my Italian has improved from horrendous to merely atrocious. I'm on the train home from Firenze right now, and I was able to find out what the next station is without the help of a phrasebook or any kind of hand signal. Baby steps.

Ciao.
