Prolouge

Even though I'm keeping this blog as a glorified travel journal, I'm mostly keeping it for you. Many of you asked for periodic updates during my travels, and I probably could have sent out a weekly newsletter about my adventures, excursions, and exploits. But, like virtually any regular newsletter, that would quickly become boring. You would dread Monday mornings, because, inevitably, there would be an email waiting in your inbox outlining all of the details of my weekend travels. Because you are a nice person, or at least wish to appear that way, you wouldn't have the heart to reply to one of the newsletter's installments to ask to be removed from the mailing list, and so would continue this sad saga.

Instead, I'll keep this page updated as regularly as humanly possible. There is a lot of useful information, in all kinds of formats:

(1) The map on the right pane will have markers of my significant journeys. Clicking on the pushpins will display an info bubble with the location name, the travel dates, and a link to the post about the excursion.

(2) At the bottom of the page is my travel calendar. Always consider it tentative, especially in the beginning.

If you are going to be remotely near any of the places listed on the travel calendar and you'd like to meet up, send me an email and we can arrange it. There is one prerequisite, however: we have to have met previously, in real life...no strangers.
